Community Service
Ruris put on a community-wide Easter egg hunt to serve the children of Escalante complete with hundreds of candy filled eggs and the Easter Bunny.
Thousands of books were donated to families, local school libraries and homeschooling families labor provided by Ruris' crew.
Tech industry professionals from Ruris gave presentations at Escalante High School about Entrepreneurship, Risk vs Reward, and Consulting
First Responders Gala
In 2018 the community celebrated and presented awards to the Escalante first responders during a gala where they were treated to a 5 course meal.
In 2019 the community donated funds to give personal awards to each of the active EMT's who serve selflessly and compassionately at all hours, voluntarily.
Funds for these events were raised during the annual Moqui Motor Madness Auto Show. This event had participants from all over, but the local residents were able to showcase dozens of autos of their own.
Escalante Cyber Center
- This co-working and innovation space is dedicated to provide the resources to the most under-served citizens of Garfield County Utah. Aligning with the goals of the State's Rural On-line Initiative, Ruris is doing all it can to diversify the current seasonal economy.
- Adults are able to work remotely, even if their home isn't set up for it; consulting is provided to make remote work a reality and increase their family's income.
- Kids are able to experience STEM activities that aren't offered at their public school and supplement their learning to provide a gateway to careers that will sustain them as adults.
